  We're looking for a highly trustworthy go-to auto mechanic in Wheat Ridge or nearby...Someone who'll tell you what's wrong without trying to sell you repairs and parts you don't need (which has happened to us twice lately). Nothing exotic - GMC truck, Honda CRV. Any suggestions?

  As always, Dave's Automotive on 38 th. Only place I trust to do the job that needs to be done and to do it correctly. I wouldn't call them cheap, but what auto shop is? I ALWAYS KNOW that I am being treated honestly. I have used them for probably 20 years and have never once felt ripped off. Ask for Jeff, I promise you will be happy with the service you receive.

  Depends on what you need done, but if it is tires, brakes, lube and oil, I would recommend B&F Tire. If it is engine stuff, Dave's Automotive is great as well.

  Help please! We just got a letter informing us that D&A Auto is closing shop. We have gone to them for years! They have been so wonderful to us for many years. They have been honest and reasonable and just all around awesome. Now we need a new mechanic. I'm not sure we can replace them, but it's worth shot. Anyone have a great auto-mechanic they are willing to share?

  Hi Stephanie, Jeff from Daves Automotive here. you are right Dave is a great guy to work with. I worked with him a lot on training with the newer scanners and diagnostic equipment. it was a very sad thing with Andy and it was such a shame. I have heard Dave might be looking for another location but i do not know where or when he might open it. If you are still in need of a mechanic we would be happy to help.303-420-5111

  Help! I'm having some car problems. I took it to Firestone and it turns out I need my rack and pinion and something with my steering fixed. My warranty is covering no where close to the amount that Firestone is quoting me. Where is the best reasonable place around that will put in used parts if I order them myself? Firestone won't use used parts. Hence why it is so expensive.
