  I know this has been asked a bunch of times, but I just walked out of Sun Surf Vet! They told me they can cater to my cat and give her a lion's cut, but when I took her in, they changed their minds. Keep in mind I took the day off of work to take her in. She has terrible knots in her fur, poor thing. I'm looking for a vet that knows how to handle Maine Coons! Also looking for a vet clinic that would be open on weekends. Help me, friends!!

  Hello, Sorry to hear about this concern. A lion trim does take quite a bit of time, and can be a bit stressful for the cat. Frequently, some sedation goes a long way to helping the process be a lot easier. We do not do regular grooming in our hospital, but because lion trims can be more difficult, my technicians can often still make them look quite pretty.   I have two Boston Terriers one is an old boy 13 years old named Harry (Harry is almost blind and slow moving) and the other one is eight years old named Buddy. I'm planning on taking a weeklong vacation in October (very much needed and deserved) but am agonizing over what to do with my two Fur-babies. I have canceled many vacations because of this problem. Does the group have any suggestions on boarding in HB other than a kennel? They don't seem to give much individualized attention at kennels such as what Harry requires. If you're a dog lover you will understand why I can't sleep at night worrying about my boys. I don't have any friends or family that I can leave my two boys with.   Please never go to Friendly animal hospital!!! He almost killed our dog! He doesn't do anything! Just wants your money. Dr Lewis at Huntington Beach Pet Hospital is a very good vet, he is knowledgeable, went to the best vet care collage in So Cal, and worked at VCA for years doing surgeries, he knows what he's doing.
