  I'm looking for a small breed, female doggy friend for my little 2 year old boy (he is desexed). We would prefer a dog rather than a pup, who is house trained and gets along with young children. I am willing to pay a reasonable price for the right lady. All vet work done and desexed would be a huge plus also. (I have been searching the animal rescues as well.)

  I personally believe in adoption from local rescues or the pound/RSPCA. They have heavily subsidised fees. All animals are desexed, chipped, registered etc. you can't do that for the price they charge for an adoption fee. There are a lot of rescues around. Try Wollongong Animal Rescue Network Good luck
