  I am in the process of trying to find an attorney. I want to settle outside of the courts. I have identified what damages remain and to get treatment that will allow me to function again will be costly. I plan to demand that the abusers acknowledge the harm and also pay out of pocket to remedy what they did. I need a Massachusetts attorney who can negotiate, someone with a human rights perspective, believes in restorative justice, and who also has enough medical knowledge and common sense to fully understand the harm. Any suggestions? This would mean advising me on how to proceed and sending a few certified letters.

  I don't practice law in Michigan, but as a lawyer I would search Superlawyers.com or look for AV rated lawyers on Martindale Hubbell. You can search by category. Expand your search if necessary, lawyers do not specialize, so a lawyer that focuses in employment law likely is very qualified to handle ADA cases even in a school setting.

None have actually been used by the people suggesting them. I found that the 'Super Lawyer' award is a Media, Advertising issue, it doesn't mean they are reputable lawyers! I can't believe out of all my friends, no one can refer a reputable & aggressive attorney that they have actually used before! So Frustrating! I have been working on this for 3 months, & the AOG just sits on their thumbs, & does nothing. Please, someone, anyone recommend someone, you have had great experiences with in the Collin County Area. :-(

  There is a lawyer grade book - look up superlawyers.com. Anyway this book is very helpful in selecting lawyers - it rates them. I don't know what the name is but let me google it.
