I can help you really speak and read a Hebrew newspaper after you have finished ulpan. I am an experienced Hebrew and English teacher and cultural consultant re: understanding modern Israel and its society. I am a native English speaker and understand how you think when you try to speak Hebrew. I understand the necessity of teaching you how to really understand Hebrew and its sources and not just translate literally from one language to the other.
I am also cognizant of Jewish traditions and sources..well-versed in Bible and Siddur; knowledgeable about Israeli society and how to bring up children here. I was an aliyah and educational consultant for the ESRA org. for many years in the Sharon area, helping people adjust to the educational system.
I do language tutoring Hebrew/ English for academics as well as translating and editing academic manuscripts from Hebrew into English and helping with academic presentations in Hebrew and English for students and professors.
