About us
I began playing guitar at 15 after being inspired by my favourite rock guitarists. I started out on an old classical acoustic guitar, before moving quickly on to the electric. I picked up the instrument very quickly, and would spend many hours learning many licks and tricks from my favourite guitarists.
After several years of practice and an ever growing passion for the guitar I began taking lessons with the well known and much respected tutor Max Milligan. During my years spent with Max I learnt a lot of essential techniques and music theory concepts that further aided me on my guitar journey.
I then studied music at the University of Northampton, gaining a BA (Hons) in Music Practice. During my study I gained a wealth of experience in terms of styles from rock to pop to jazz, blues and reggae. I also gained experience and knowledge in areas such as live performance, instrumental techniques, music theory, music reading and ear training.
I currently teach in Central Bedfordshire, covering Biggleswade, Sandy, Potton and surrounding towns and villages. I teach most styles of electric guitar, although I specialise in rock, metal and blues styles, as well as lead techniques. I teach students of all ages and abilities.
Music theory, music reading and ear training are also provided.
In addition, RGT, Rockschool and Trinity Rock and Pop electric guitar exams are available up to grade 8. Taking grades helps the student maintain focus, and learn in a very comprehensive way, ensuring that students who learn with me achieve their musical goals. I have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS/CRB) certificate that is available to view on request.

Can anyone recommend a guitar teacher that's good with kids, my 10 year old daughter wants to learn but sometimes needs a bit of a push and some encouragement, I've tried teaching her the basics but it's hard work and I'm not that good myself. And before anyone mentions google, I've looked, there isn't a lot coming up and certainly not giving the information I need, plus I'd rather go with personal recommendation.
