Electricians please advise.......
We have a lounge/dining room (lounge 25’ x 11’ ish. Dining room 8’ x 10’ ish a bit “open plan” at the moment) which currently has 3 main ceiling light fittings. We would like to change these for spot downlighters and think overall we would need about 12 in the lounge and 6 in the dining room. We plan to get an electrician in to fit them but I’d like to know if the cost of the electrician would be a bit/ a lot/ not at all cheaper if they were able to do the work without a ceiling restricting access.
So basically, would the money saved in electrician costs offset enough to the cost of a new ceiling?
Advice would be great please. Thanks

I really appreciate the recommendations and will be contacting people for some quotes but I really need to know if I need to start ripping the ceiling down if it’s likely to make the job quicker and easier. Access by lifting floorboards above is going to be tricky but not impossible. Thank you.
