Routine Medical Care
For Dogs, Cats, Birds, Rabbits, Ferrets, Reptiles and most other exotics. Yearly or semi-annual physical examinations by our highly trained doctor is one of the best ways to keep your pet healthy and detect problems early. Complete physical examinations are the foundation of any preventative health program.
Internal Medicine
Our veterinarians have the expertise to diagnose and treat any disease/illness your pet may develop. Through a networking service provided by our diagnostic lab, we have access to many leading experts in all aspects of veterinary medicine for consultation.
Vaccinations
For dogs and cats and ferrets.
We require a physical examination of your pet prior to any vaccinations. Each pet is evaluated for disease risk factors, age and health status, and a vaccine program is recommended on an individual basis.

When can I bring my pet to Dumont Animal Hospital?
We are here six days a week for scheduled appointments and after-hour emergency appointments. Dr. Diggle also performs surgeries five days a week. Give us a call at 201-387-7297 during business hours to find a day and time which works for you. Our hours of operation are as follows:

The Dumont Animal Hospital is a multi-doctor practice. Dr. Edmund Diggle started the practice in 2004. The other doctors are Dr. Erin Bortz, Dr. Lynn Robben, and Dr. Catherine Coughlin.
Can I bring my exotic pet to Dumont Animal Hospital?
Yes! Dr. Diggle has received advanced training in exotics medicine and surgery - Dr. Diggle's patients include birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters and reptiles! Dr. Coughlin also has experience with your exotic pets and loves to handle small animals! show more
