Blue Pearl is the best one!

Thank you all for your input. I wound up taking my 16 year old cat to Blue Pearl. Unfortunately the news was not good. She had fluid in her lungs and some in her abdomen. They were able to remove the fluid from her lungs. They did a special blood test for her heart which showed abnormal which indicates heart disease. I could pursue further testing with a cardiologist but the estimate can run 800-1100. At this point I just want her to be comfortable until the time comes. Any thoughts? What would you do?

Heard good things about Blue Pearl on Route 17 in Paramus.

My cat was hit by a car and suffered a fractured pelvis and some other minor injuries. Blue Pearl was amazing. We spent a lot on her (and wished we had pet insurance) but she’s only 2 1/2. She’s now doing great. Things might have been different if she was much older. I know you will do the right thing for your pet ♥️

Oradell for emergencies and Glen Rock Veterinary for regular/sick visits. Dr. Stekler is very caring and his prices are extremely fair.

Dr. Eisenberg, Hohokus Animal Hosp. Very reasonable, caring, always gets you in if needed.

Oradell Animal hospital or Blue Cross Vet on Rte 20 in Paterson. There are also good vets on Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn.

For routine check ups, Valley Brook. If the cat has a serious health issue I recommend Dr. DeSantis at Oradell animal Hospital. It’s worth the extra price.

My dogs' were done there by Dr. Meltzer-Press who is our usual vet. She did great, poor thing needed so many removed.

I only use Rutherford Animal Hospital...My pug had teeth extractions...They are very big advocates for teeth cleaning...People say they are on the expensive side, but I wouldn't go anywhere else with my pets...Check out their Facebook Page...

Valley Brook. Very happy there. Mainly use Dr. Riskin, but also see Dr. Melter-Press, can't think of the two young vets names but also very nice. Also, love the staff and vet techs. I have a VERY skittish cat and they handle him well. Whatever you do, DONT go to Lincoln Ave Cat Hospital. Long story but PM me if you want addtl info why.

Hey Nicole! We went to High School together. I live in Fair Lawn now and have cats. My #1 recommendation is definitely Oradell (they are the absolute best), but if you can't wait that long, I also recommend Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital. They're much smaller than Oradell but have a great staff.

Dr. Meltzer-Press and Dr. Riskin are great at Valley Brook. We love them both. Each one has performed surgeries/procedures on my dogs and they did a great job. Both of my dogs had teeth extracted there.

My dog was taken care of by them for 11 years. He had surgery with Dr. Riskin and teeth cleaning at the same time. Dr. Meltzer-Press put him to sleep last year when he was diagnosed with cancer. Couldn't ask for a better veterinary office.
