  Thanks for your recommendations. It is indeed an adult male blackbird. He is with https://www.facebook.com/1273443099469197 Springfield Sanctuary now and being treated for shock with fluids, warmth and peace and quiet in a dark room. He doesn't have any obvious breaks but does have one very weak wing so it will be a case of waiting to see if it improves. Unfortunately it is usually the stress of the situation that that means they don't survive but we are doing our very best to keep him calm.
