  About twice a year I get a call about 7am from my elderly mom saying a bird has fallen down her chimney and is stuck in the flue pipe of her fire. She as had a few people say they will come and install some sort of cowl or wire netting to stop this, but no one has returned! I realise its not a very nice job, having to go so high, but does anyone know of someone who can do this job for her, or any suggestions. Bird is rescued every time and we have perfected the curtains closed/patio door open technique - but it needs fixing. Thanks
