  Looking for an AC company that preferably can come out today, or at least ASAP :-D My home warranty company authorized me to have anybody come out and fix it, billing them directly, as long as they are licensed, bonded, and insured. The previous contractor said it had a bad compressor, but by going to a new contractor, home warranty requires an independent diagnosis. My AC has been out since the 18th, and the previous contractor has been dragging me along since the 19th. Any suggestions?

  I need some input on duct cleaning. Have heard everything from 'waste of money' to 'made a huge difference'. Anyone had experience. ..good or bad ..with this they could share? AC in this house is so uneven! We've had AC companies in but they say everything in their area is ok. Also looking for referrals for a good company to do it. Cant spend a lot and this a rental. Don't think landlord would pay but might be worth it to save on AC bills.
