  The VERY best is Dr. Stan Kunin on Ventura near Sale, south side of street. 818-225-1661. VERY compassionate, AND has other docs in there so you can always see someone. We've gone to him for over 30+ years (he's was very young when we started going) and NEVER had a bad experience. Does NOT do unnecessary testing and charges at all. Good luck and let us know!!

  Dr Nina Nardi who just moved over to Veterinary Medical Center on Ventura in Woodland Hills (Dr. Stan Kunin's office). I have had many vets but she is by far the nicest most caring one yet and Dr. Kunin is great as well.....

My mom has a rescue dog that apparently they only partially neutered.. and now many years later it is causing his little belly to swell and become uncomfortable. Her vet said he is in good health aside from this , but needs surgery quickly to fix the problem. They are seniors on a fixed income and the $2300 quote is more than they can afford..

He is located at 22544 Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills, 818-225-1661. My daughter Melanie Benezet takes Bosley there and you can always suggest this as a referral. Dr. Kunin is a true Humanitarian as well as superior Vet. No rip and strip here.

  I am so sorry for your pending loss. Our Vet is the wonderful, and well known Stan Kunin on Ventura blvd/near Sale. 818-225-1661. We were clients of his already and he has treat out dogs for years and new and loved us and them. He was invested in them too, so when the time came for the last dog at 15 he told me that when it was time, he would come to the house with his nurse. I don't know if he still offers this or not but it can't hurt to call.

  My 3 year old newfie recently started limping. Luckily, VCA parkwood ruled out hip dysplasia but is recommending x-rays to better understand issue. I'm fine with that but they said they have to sedate him to get x-rays. Anyone with a large breed know if large dogs have to be sedated. Really don't want him sedated unnecessarily. He's an extremely gentle giant, so would gladly lay through xrays. Or could you recommend another vet to get a 2nd opinion? Pup is still running and swimming, so he uses leg, but we are limiting his exercise for now

I don't know if he still does that, but he is an awesome and very kind vet/man........818-225-1661, Ventura near Sale, on the south side of street. Very sorry for your pending loss, we have had 3 dogs and a few cats we have had to do that to and it IS a heartbreaking decision. Blessings2U
