  Looking for referrals on a great pediatrician and a babysitter who would take a 2 month old. I'm not due until March but I would appreciate your guys' input.

  Pediatrics Associates 3500 SW 6 th Ave 785-235-0335. They are open by appointment M- Saturday. The nurses are really good about calling you back right away and always gets a sick child in the same day if they need to be seen. They are also open on Sundays as a walk in from 12 - 2 pm. My children see Dr. Nelson and I love her. There has not been one dr at Pediatric Associates that I have not cared for.

  Pediatric associates is great about returning calls in a very timely manner. I've had to deal with them a lot the past few months with referrals to different places for my daughter and they've been great.

  ISO a new pediatrician. Recently my pediatrician deviced my daughter has allergies and that I should give her 2mL of Benadryl 3x a day. I thought that was a lot and said so. She didn't agree, when I questioned it a second time she seemed irritated and said that's what to do. After some research I was SUPER upset to find anyone under 2 shouldn't have benadryl (my daughter is just now 9 months).

  the pharmacist told me they have to label it that way now for safety bc too many parents were abusing it or giving too much. But if the dr prescribes it its usually safe. I was always worried about that too tho.. its scary! I dont like giving my lil ones even tylenol unless i really need to. My kids go to Dr. Teresa Crowe on 6 th.. 785-235-0335. Ive only been there a few times but so far I like her and the nurses.

  We see Dr Nelson at Pediatric Associates and really like her. No idea on her stand on Benadryl, though...
