  Ari, is it okay to ask for (hopefully some quick-ish) advice regarding a local who is asking for $650 to clear the snow off our roof here in Newburyport? We are in our 60s and cannot possibly do it ourselves. This is someone in Salisbury, not a contractor or licensed, but they can do it tomorrow, supposedly...we have new cracking in every room of our late 1960s built 2-story on Low Street, so we are pretty freaked out. But I do not want to get fleeced. We wish we could go with someone we trust, like Mr. Dobson, who kindly returned our call this morning promptly and can try to get here Saturday to tackle the ice damns. I fear $650 is way too high. I would so appreciate feedback! I just don't know what to do! Thanks, Ari, and fellow Newburyport folks. We are all dealing with this right now. All the companies are swamped, and I fear the situation could be ripe for scams. But perhaps I am being paranoid?
