We've been having a plumbing issue and I'm wondering if anyone knows the answer, as I've been reading many related issues about this. We had a plumber out this weekend because of some ongoing blockages. He ran a camera and said there are many roots obstructing the pipes from our house to the street and we need to replace those pipes. Lots of $ to fix but I do believe this part to be true, since we've had problems with blockages. However, he also mentioned our "saddle" that connects our pipes to the city pipes is cracked and eventually when it breaks will need to be fixed which will cost upwards of $12,000 because we would need to open the street to do it. He said even though it's city property, it is not their responsibility. Does anyone have experience with this or know if it's correct? Also, can anyone recommend a reasonable person to perform the repipe needed on our property? I'd like to get other estimates! Thank you!
