We are currently paying $280 a week for a property in Kilburn area that has no heating or cooling. There are no skirting boards in any of the rooms and can see to outside. The plumbing is constantly blocking up due to the property being so old. There is a hole in the kitchen roof with just some clear plastic to cover it up and leaks when it rains. The property wasn't even cleaned prior to us moving in and we had to wait nearly 2 weeks to be able to connect gas and electricity as there were problems with the house. The property is horrible and I could not bring a newborn baby home to this. We've never been late to pay rent and the house is always kept clean as before I fell pregnant I done exit cleans for a living. We're not fussed about the area and are willing to move to any suburb. Try domain.com.au and real estate.com.au. Those sites will also give you real estate agent contact details. Hotel availability can also be very tricky in CANBERRA, especially if the Government is sitting. Use Google Maps for help and book well in advance.

Serena S. asked:As you know we have been trying to sell our investment property located at 54 Ridge Street, Nambucca Heads since May 2011 (3 years) the past three years have been extremely stressful for our entire family. The stress has hit an all time high as NAB Bank have given us until Friday 14.03.14 to find a buyer OR they will foreclose and evict all three tenants from the building and sell it as a Mortgagee in Possession sale. The listing price is $365,000 and the current rental return is $610 per week - Untill NAB evicts all three tenants and then the rental return will be NIL. We are also liable for any remaining debt after the banks sell the property and if we cant afford to repay this debt then the NAB bank will take us to court and try and seize our home as well :( Which basically means we will be homeless :( So PLEASE if you have ANYONE looking for an investment property which has GREAT rental returns PLEASE let me know ASAP so we can stop the bank from foreclosing on us next week :(

Have a look on real estate.com.au and do a comparison what the houses that are around you at the moment. Go on real estate .com and have a look at the tab called agents and see what houses they have sold for the month now and last month and have a look at another agent in there and do the comparison 1 will have a higher rate of sold..... Also go on to the sold part and have a look at how much an agent is selling in that particular area as well. Ask the agent to explain to you why there has been no interest.
