You can find these providers online at www.dfps.state.tx.us . The Texas Dept. of Family and Protective Services oversees childcare in the state. If the provider is not on the site then they are operating illegally. DFPS monitors these sites for childcare inquires in order to stop illegal childcare. The purpose of using a childcare provider that has been approved by the State is to protect your child, you and the provider. Hope you find someone who meets your needs.
