Professional Cat & Dog Grooming and Pet Massage by Claudia Dudley
at 2nd Avenue Animal Hospital
All my life I was involved with animals, at a young age I volunteered with a local Humane Society in Germany.
My grooming carrier started in 1996. It started out as a hobby. I was always intrigued by the end result of a groomed pet. From there it became a carrier as a Salon manager for 10 years. Within those years I was very instrumental with teaching and guiding new or novice groomers.
I further developed my skills by attending grooming seminars with the National Grooming Association. This helped expanded my knowledge about specific breed cuts. Along the way I learned about pet safety during grooming and bathing services.
In 2008 I joined the wonderful team at 2nd Avenue Animal Hospital.
In July 2012 I attended the PetMassage Training and Research Institute in Ohio. I learned how your pet will benefit from a massage.
To name a few benefits of Pet Massage:
- increase circulation & oxygenation to the cells of the body
- helps dogs metabolize food,water, exercise, sleep experience
- stimulate the immune system
- decrease pain, soreness & stiffness
- improve muscle function
- helps dogs to cope with stiffness and discomfort that accompany arthritis
- practice enhances the body-mind wellness of dogs
Conditions that can benefit from massage and bodywork include:
- compensatory patterns due to structural imbalances/poor conformation
- orthopedic diseases ( hip dysplasia)
- postoperative healing
- sports injuries
- arthritis
- behavioral issues (fear biting, separation anxiety)
After the training I became a member of the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB)
Lately I have integrated Reiki with some of my lovely Fur babies. Your pet will receive a nice relaxing Aromatherapy while being pampered in this atmosphere. I only use non-abrasive and soap free shampoos.
For your convenience you... show more can drop your pet off before work and pick up after work, during our office hours. During the stay with us we let all the animals out to relieve themselves.

Fort G. asked:am looking for a cat boarding facility that treats the boarded pets as their own. It should also be one that only boards cats an no other animals. Other cats is stress enough for mine .
