Lisa S. asked:Just an update on our airconditioning situation, it still does not work. We cannot even go to another company to repair yet because John Neek is demanding even more money. Basically, John Neek did not measure any loads, he took out a larger a/c unit and put in a much smaller one. The a/c won't keep up and we have to run portable units as well as our barely running unit that he put in. Plus, he left during the installation, even though he was the one who was supposed to be licensed to do this. He also did electrical work even though he was not actually licensed do do electrical work. In the end, after messing around more and having no idea what to do, he told us he wants us to pay him even more and replace the furnace. We then brought in another A/C company for another opinion and the other A/C company was very professional. They took measurements around the house and spent time checking everything out and they calculated loads and everything. The conclusion is, after consulting with 2 additional companies is, my furnace is fine and does not need replacing, but the A/C that John Neek worked on and put in is not fine and needs to be replaced. I do not care who loves John Neek or who thinks he did a great job at their house, when it is 90 degrees out, his a/c keeps our house at over 80 degrees. This is not OK. And he just wants more money to correct what he did wrong. I will pay someone else, but John Neek has proven to be dishonest and incompetent.
