About us
Centaur Horse Transport offers a professional, safe, caring and calm service to transport your horse or pony (or even donkey) to ensure they get to their destination stress-free and ready to go.
We are based on the Cornwall/Devon border and can cover transport moves throughout England and Wales.
Whether it be a yard/stud or home move, emergency trip to the vet, buying or selling a horse, hunting, horse shows & events, lessons & schooling, racehorse moves, recreational moves (beach, grassland etc), breakdown rescue & young stock, including mare and foal, we can service your needs at a date and time convenient to you and at a competitive price (no VAT is charged).
• Modern 3.5t horsebox able to accommodate 2 horses with the Trevett & Smith safety system incorporated, plus CCTV to monitor horses
• We hold a Level 2 Certificate of Competence Award for transporting horses on short journeys adhering to DEFRA’s ‘WATO’ regulations
• DEFRA Type 1 Transport Authorisation held – UK/EXETE/T1/00089009
• Full equine horsebox breakdown and recovery membership
• We hold care/custody and control, hire & reward and public liability insurance
• Regular updates from the driver
• FOC hay and water given on all trips
• Human/equine first aid kit carried at all times
• Boots/bandages and tail guards provided if required
• Driver is able to carry two persons over the age of 18 in the cab if you wish to accompany your horse on its journey
• Horsebox is cleaned and disinfected after every use using DEFRA approved products
• 24 hours a day/7 days a week emergency call out service
• All major credit and debit cards accepted as well as cash, cheque and BACs
