  My friend in Lake Stevens just found out her senior dog has bone cancer in her leg which has also spread. She is going to have her euthanized, but her vet wanted over $200 for euthanasia and public cremation. She cant afford that, especially with the bill she just paid to find out. I told her to try EAS. They will do it for $100, but she signs her over in the lobby and they take her in back to do it. Is there a reasonably priced vet (about the same as EAS) but one which will allow her to stay with her until the end? Thanks!

  We took our little furbaby to the Animal Care Center in Mt. Vernon to be put to rest and they were wonderful, empathetic, and caring through the whole sad time. I highly recommend this place. Mt. Vernon ph# 360- 848 0180 They let us hold our baby in our arms as he passed. <3

  I need some referrals for vets in the area. I'm still worried about my miniature schnauzer boy, he's still not back to normal and I don't have an established vet up here yet. Took him to Pilchuck emergency Sunday night, all of his vitals checked out fine and he was sent home without any further diagnostics and the possibility that it could be because of degenerative hip or spine issues. He's rested since Sunday but is still lethargic, not eating (does drink water and urinates outside) his breathing seems shallow or labored and his belly is hard and a bit distended. I would like to get him into a vet soon, but like most all of us budget is a factor. I'm sure he'll need either blood tests or radiology, if not both on top of the initial exam, any ideas on what it will run so I can budget and/or attempt to apply for care credit, and the best bet for a vet? I have an 8 year old female chihuahua that has knee joint problems on and off and I'm aware that this is very common in smaller dogs, but usually the joint will pop back into place after a day or so, but she is still having a hard time going up and down stairs. Has anyone had the surgery that corrects this and has success stories and recommendations that they would like to share? I'm curious on costs, vets, recovery? Thank you in advance

  Dr O'Rourke of animal care center in Mount Vernon http://animalcarecentermv.com He has performed a knee surgery and hip surgery on two of my dogs. Very affordable he will give a quote and stick to it and both of my dogs recovered great. Follow up xrays, exams and meds were included in surgery cost. Would highly recommend.
