  One of our customers has a dog that is not keen on other dogs and they have to do an emergency trip without their dog and their usual dog sitter is unable to help them out. They are trying to find an Edinburgh based dog sitter their dog could stay with (not kennels) and have asked if we could put a note out for them. This would need to to be on an individual basis (without other dogs or cats in the home). We can't think of any recommendations for this type of circumstance (most dog sitters we know have other dog staying or have their own dogs/cats) but wondered if anyone can suggest any bona fide sitters that may be able to help out that we can pass details on for (we appreciate that they will need to do their own checks etc but they are really struggling so we thought you guys may potentially have some suggestions to help).   Have you tried Lothian animals at home ? They have lots of home boarders I think they have some without their own dog.

  I would recommend Animals at Home (Lothian) too. They are my regular place for Millie and she LOVES it. I suspect she's v pampered! I'm fairly sure they could offer a placement without any other animals. Worth a try!

I need to find the best option, thought about Kennels but Chi's can be dog reactive. Dachshund very old. Looked at agency who pick dogs up and take to host family. Not sure about that as I would want to meet people before hand. Home sitting varies so much, from dropping in to living in and some say you have to pay for registration others dont. I need to see family who live some distance away. I suppose I am looking for someone I can trust with my little dogs and get to know us. Can anyone help? Thanks

He's really just like a large cat, very clean in the house, a great listener and never interrupts you, loves watching t.v with you, keeps you in good shape with regular walks and makes sure you never get any bills!!
