Edward Farrell 781-933-9012 is excellent. He's an independent so half the price of hiring a firm to do this kind of work (no overhead), fee are similar to the figures listed, includes both survey and plot plan. Downside is he is very busy, we waited about 8 weeks but he's worth it.

Note can be difficult to get surveyors to show up and do work. Boston Survey has required the least prodding from me in the past. $1,200. Hopefully someone will recommend someone local and more of an owner/operator who might be a little cheaper.
