Little & Friday has great pies. You may have to take out a personal loan to buy one (plus a couch to lie on afterward), but they are thoroughly good. On the cheaper side, there's Muzza's Pies in Mount Albert. Yay, golf balls of fat.

Boston bakery in mt Albert shops is my favourite. Muzzas used to be my number one, but I've found it a bit average lately. Boston bakery just won some awards at the pie comps. I definitely want a pie now:-/

The Pie Room in Ponsonby has pies for around $8, but their Mexican themed pie is probably one of the best pies I've had in Auckland.

It's not local but Hong Kong bakery, Mangere Bridge. They use real cheese. Pastry is flaky af. SO GOOD
