I highly recommend State Farm- Adam McCarty. Stay far away from Farm Bureau. I used them for many years but was treated badly when I paid my Annual membership fee late AFTER they had just deducted the monthly payments equally nearly $300 auto draft from mine and my daughters account. I was told if I went in that day go pay that they could stop the cancellation, we paid it that day and cancellation was reported to the DMV the next day saying my insurance was cancelled 4 days prior for nonpayment of membership fee, they got that monthly payment and kept the $40 annual fee I paid that day AND we had about $375 in flags for 3 cars at DMV who told us they see it all the time and just like Farm Bureau went back several days for not paying annual, they could have gone back and made my insurance current again but they did NOTHING to help me and lost several longtime clients because of it. We are now with State Farm and are VERY pleased!

Find an insurance broker.. I don’t know of any in Ascension, I use Brown and Brown in Baton Rouge. They will search multiple different insurance companies to find you the best policies. A friend of mine just switched and her homeowners policy went from somewhere around $3000 a year to $680 a year
