Hi Nick. We just had Bornstein Sons fix our 1 st floor furnace for our rental unit. I think we just got HOSED!!!!!! So sad. I have been scrambling, with no time to research, and they charged me $632 to replace a hot surface ignitor. Sick kid, angry tenants - you go with the guy that answers the phone. So, here we are $632 dollars poorer when i think it should have cost us $200. So, keep these guys OFF of the list!

I use a program called Homekeepr, which is a home maintenance system that sends you monthly reminders on when certain tasks need to be completed in order to keep your home in tip-top shape. When you get the reminders (which is rea lly only once a month), it suggests the professionals who specialize in that area. Palumbo Plumbing is phenomenal 973-738-2922. I had several plumbers come by all charging me about 5 to 10 thousand more for the job and many more saying they were not qualified to do it. Lenny came and was not only able to complete the job but did it in a timely fashion. I would Highly recommend him to anybody!

I also recommend Speedy Plumbing, 973 748 6333. Louis Marano is great, our sewer line broke and one plumbing group gave us a quote of $7,000 to $16,000 on top of the $700 to clear the line(they were not sure where the break was cause their equipment was "broke") Louis came in, ran a camera through the line, traced where the break was, and gave me a quote of a little over $4,000 for everything including removing the old house trap, filling he hole in the floor with cement and installing a new cleanout. His men came the next day and had the job done in less that one day.
