She is adorable - look at those eyes! I don't know of any homeschooling groups per se, but the best book I ever read on the flaws of the schooling system was (former NY Teacher of the Year) John Taylor Gatto's "Dumbing Us Down" - a must-read for anyone considering homeschooling! http://www.amazon.com/Dumbing-Down-Curriculum-Compulsory-Anniversary/dp/0865714487

Cathy Duffy's 102 best homeschool curriculum is a good place to start.
David G. replied:
J.T. Gatto nails it in his critique of our schooling system. Khan academy and others have everything needed to start you on the process of taking back your children from the state. And give your daughter Lugol's solution--10-20 drops per day is plenty.Plus any bitter alcohol tincture to cleanse the liver.Otc Lithium is another master chelator, and it will regrow brain neuron cells!!! up to 3% per month! This was/is considered impossible by "official" science.

Smarts starts learning academy has already enrolled, as well as jack n jill as most prechools have. Contact Brooke White she may have an opening in here daycare that has preschool in the mix or@christian academy also has a preschool, which@mishael gibbs would be the contact person. I think the best bet is a daycare with school cirrculm invested into their day. Since fall has already started.

Any suggestions for childcare/preschool in the 83704 05ish area for a 1 and 3 year old? Thank you!!
Laura U. replied:
We use R House on Hill Rd. and 21 st. It might be a little bit out of the way. I have liked it and I know Jack loves it. They have programs for infants through 5 years.
Anna H. replied:
Vista Montessori! Our spots might still be available, since we are leaving for Portland next week. Jack Hanigan is there too!!
Meghan B. replied:
Do not use the Charlie Frog School! I had Harper there for a very short time when I was in school at Boise State and they lost her- yes, that's what I said lost her. I went to pick her up and the teachers had no idea where she was and then when I told them I was leaving the owner told me she would sue me if I didn't pay the next month because I hadn't given a 2 week notice! REALLY! You lost my child!!!
