My son is autistic and we take him to Midwest Dental. I would talk to the dentist first and explain her freak out. It's important that kids are comfortable and understand what's going on.

First kids on randall rd.! They just. Got a new partner. Very kids friendly. Dr. Matt extracted my daughter 2 front tooth when she was 2 and half. They set an appointment so your kid can see the room and look at their equipment. Give them 10 all the way!!!

If you haven't seen an orthodontist yet, wait to pull the tooth. Seriously. My daughters canines have not come in yet. And she is almost 14 slated to start braces in September. When they start braces younger, they can brace around teeth, and perhaps move the teeth enough until it comes down. More than likely, my daughter will have to have 4 adult teeth pulled if they can't pull her teeth apart enough to make room for them. Nightmare. A low cost option is Wise Dental in Schaumburg. He is a Medicaid dentist, and his office isn't fancy. But he's a nice quiet man, and my daughter had no issues with him. And she is squirmy. But, we only went for cleanings and fillings. A cleaning with X-rays (no insurance) is like $40. I would talk to the dentist about the possibility of a sedative before hand (something gentle for kids). Maybe a pill or some type of liquid pain killer (like Tylenol with codine). I know they make it in liquid form.

I take my 13 year old son there. It's a dentist and orthodontist in one. Tvs in every room. Even though my son is 13 he still occasionally watches certain cartoons and the day the orthodontist had to put his expander in his mouth, they turned the Cartoon Network on for my son. We lived in Chi until a couple years ago and even had the same Parent company in Chi. I have yet to have a problem with them weather in Chi or Elgin.

Do not pull anything out without the consult with an orthodontist. Hurley & Volk in South Elgin are the best and the cheapest. Also, your wife forgot about all the embarrassments from a 3 or a 5 year old. Guess what, 10 and 12 year olds have horrible tantrums when facing vaccination, ear piercing or tooth pulling. Nothing unusual. Talk to your wife and daughter and take her back to where it's the cheapest for you. Be there and tackle your 12 year old: no doctor or nurse will do it anywhere, only parents. I had to corner my 10 year old and tackle her for vaccination, I never expected this from her, I was in shock, she scared the hell of one of the nurses, so what, quit a good doctor for this?
