[HRC in Chapel Hill & Raleigh](http://hrc-pa.com) is really good. They have a bunch of different specialists, including anxiety specialists. If you're willing to call or email them, they'll give you a recommendation on who to see.

Dr. Nan Allen, (919) 648-1972. She's amazing. She relates to you on a personal level, but isn't afraid to (kindly) call you out on your shit. If you're able, I recommend getting in to see her. She's amazing. She's in downtown raleigh, btw.

Mary Grigsby is out of Durham. She helped me a ton. Last I knew she was in network for BCBSNC, if that helps at all. and go you for taking this step!

Are you looking for someone who can provide therapy or just manage your meds? For the latter I went to UNC Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic and they were great.

I go to HRC in Chapel Hill and I'm really happy with the treatment I've received there. Every staff member I've met has been extremely kind, validating, and helpful. I'm not sure if they're accepting patients currently, but here's their website! http://www.hrc-pa.com/

If you have a primary care physician they can also help with medication management (Especially since you have had a previous prescriber). I need medication management for adhd meds and I now only visit a psychiatrist once every 2 years for follow ups. Chapel hill psychiatric associates has fantastic therapists but avoid the main psychiatrist Tracy Ware. She said that she wouldn’t prescribe certain classes of adhd meds because they were “neurotoxic” even though there isn’t evidence to support that.

I've gone to Stansell Dentistry in Brier Creek for 5 years. Had my wisdom teeth taken out through them as well. No complaints, staff is really friendly!

Renaissance Family Dentistry. Husband and Wife team that I have been going to for over 5 years. Located on Fayetteville Road near Southpoint.

Dentist: Durham DDS with Dr. Bill Argersinger. Cheap, good, finishes fast. Has a long wait list because of prior qualities. I'd like to **strongly dis-recommend the entire Duke system specifically for any young to middle aged adult routine primary care / general practitioner** stuff. I have my own experiences and talked to many people and found practical unanimity. They are uninspired, behind the research best practices by ~10 years, overcode, push for extra procedures (blood draws etc), and don't really care about trying to find a solution that works for you even when you tell them things aren't working. The duke primary care system treats you like meat on a factory line. You won't get your money's worth and you won't get good doctoring. Duke is only good for specialists and emergencies. Caring for an elderly person who undergoes regular hospitalizations, it's amazing how much of a quality drop you see between departments/wards as you help someone navigate each step down. The emergency ward is great, surgery great, step down ICU decent, second step down meh. And you basically have to re-inform each set of nurses about the patient's specific needs and contacts with each step down being worse than the previous for retention of patient needs and facts.

I love Dr Singleton, she's my girls' doctor. But I've seen Dr Braithwaite a couple of times now and have been so impressed with her - she's young and enthusiastic and has really taken time to explain things.

Dr. Merritt is great. My kids see Dr. Morton, but he's not a female. He is fantastic though'

Dr Christian was THE BEST but he retired:( He was Brooks Pediatrician and when he left we left. Love Morton! Merritt is awesome but be prepared to be there a long time. We are at Duke Children's Primary Care now and they are fast, efficient and awesome!:)

I loved the Drs. at Chapel Hill Internal Medicine. I saw Dr. Powell-Tillman. My aunt is a Dr. and she said they were very good.

Dr Katie Dore is the best! She was at CH Internal Medicine for a while I believe, now had her own little office off of 15-501.

Kristin, I just started seeing Dr Ro at the Chapel Hill Doctors' practice. So far, so good. I love their whole body approach, including consideration of wellness and eastern practices, too... Another to consider!:)

I go to Dr. Cristy Page at UNC Family Medicine Center. She is brilliant and a radio personality like you! (WCHL's Your Health). She is also Lia's pediatrician so we can book back-to-back appointments.
