I know charleston has a hostel. I know hostels have a bad reputation because of the movies, but I've stayed in a few. They are very cheap, and meant for young adults on a very tight budget. Sounds silly, but we love the Thunderbird. It's outdated but in a 1970 s cool way. Very clean. Affordable. It's walking distance to our fav bar- The Distillery. Great craft beer selection!
