Anyway, I was in the same situation and we now go to Dr. Kanelos with Charlotte Family Healthcare. He owns the practice, very friendly and knows his stuff! I too love Dr Kanelos and his office. I take my kids there. Not a huge fan of the NP Kristin but the other NPs are great. I also love Dr. "O" at Carmel family - she is awesome and I prefer a female doctor for myself.

I will miss Matthews Family Physicians located at 1450 Matthews Township Parkway in Presbyterian. I saw Dr. Friedman and really liked him. However, I was always able to get in right away to see one of the many doctors. The phone number is (704) 384-8480.

We go to Meridian Medial Group South (Golf links drive off 485 and Providence) they might be called Novant Health now, but I like that practice alot. easy to get into and they have labs right there so you dont have to go somewhere else for blood work, cardio testing, etc. Its a general practice on one side and other side is pediatrician office.

You might try Will Conner at Conner Family Clinic in Matthews. He's smart, trilingual, has an independent practice, volunteered numerous times in Haiti, thinks outside the box, and is relatively humble. I really like him. He runs the labs I need and offers valuable insight but lets me have a big say in how we manage the care of my mitochondrial disease.

It's a little bit of a drive but I love Mecklenburg medical group in Ballantyne (near the Bad Daddy's burger place). They are a chs affiliated practice and see adults only. I've seen Dr Kersten for years and I've never had any issues with the practice or getting an appointment.

Barbara - Just FYI, she wasn't referring to Novant Health being affiliated with the Presbyterian religion, but rather Novant was formerly called Presbyterian Healthcare something or other until Novant bought them or took over more control.

I saw Dr Briones at mmg and didn't care for her. Felt very rushed, never got blood work results(I did find them online which was nice) and had to call the office 3 times for paperwork she had said they would complete. Jason sees Dr Brian Kersten at mmg and really likes him.

I don't know how much they charge since I only pay a co-pay, but I've been seeing Dr. David Hall at Matthews Family Physicians in the Matthews Hospital for quite a few years. He's always been very friendly, helpful, and understanding. I imagine that might be a bit of a drive but I figured I'd share it regardless.
