I don't know what area they cover but we had good luck with Volunteer Rid-a-pest when we lived in Cleveland. I also agree that the Terro ant bait works great and costs a lot less than an exterminator.

I've never had any luck with an exterminator with ants. I've tried black pepper, vinegar, and cinnamon (all separately) with no luck. I've heard the peppermint oil works but never tried it. The only thing I know works is Terro (brand) Liquid Ant Baits. They definitely work but give it several days to work.

If you don't mind them coming round when-the-hell-ever and not even scheduling the odd-month inside appointments, go with Lookout. If you like communication and getting what you paid for, use anyone else. (Seriously, never again. What a pain in the ass!)

I recommend Ace Exterminating (423) 344-2566. They do really great work and they're local as well. Most of the major pest control companies out here just want to get the job done as soon as possible and usually do shoddy work. Ace Exterminating takes their time doing it right. (Disclaimer: Ace Exterminating consists of a husband and wife team. And... they happen to be my parents-in-law. :)

It's worth noting that the weather just got a lot chillier and roaches are moving indoors. If you lay down a barrier treatment around the house and seal up all the gaps, you'll see much better results than just spraying indoors.
