Remember, you get what you pay for. Anyone can bathe and groom a dog. There are many National Certification programs that require class time, testing, and also an extensive training in anatomy. Angela Sexton Cfmg Ccmt, is one of the few groomers in the area, who has spent the time, money, and driven to testing sites all over the east coast and Midwest. She has flexible hours, she specializes with difficult dogs and cats. I have poodles, I have even shown before, so doing a pet trim is easy for me. I have been using Angela now for about 10 years. She uses the very top end products, I know of 2 shops on the Westside that I have seen post about using Dawn or human products or very cheap bulk products. As I said, anyone can groom, but you get what you pay for. You wouldn't take your children to someone who screams or nooses your dog too tight to the table, why would you even consider doing this to your dog. Angela's new shop, Pampered Paws and Claws will be open soon on Foley. She has a great home setup now until the shop is open. She is been a certified master feline groomer for over a year. That required over 40 hours of classroom and a practical exam grooming 5 kitties. She actually has more Continuing Ed hours than my physicians! Remember you get what you pay for.

I go to Red Dog Resort and they get baths and nails and doggie daycare for $110. Two pitties 60# each. They love it which makes me happy. Not sure how that rates comparison wise. Www.red-dogs.com
