I LOVE my plumber Rich of DunRite plumbing. Got him on the recommendation of Menyhart. (216) 323-9724. Everytime I've had a problem, he's fixed it that day and he's helped me out with teeny things in the house at no charge. He's a doll. He is also training his son and nephew.

Maybe also add some general info on ways to check out folks before you commit, as well as info about scams. Edit: I'm going to offer my lack of knowledge (sometimes experienced folks forget just how much basic info us clueless people might need!) and m y expert google-fu to gather some links that would make it possible for me to check for scams. If anyone wants to contribute suggestions, I'll help compile this info & set of links. I rent & don't have personal experience with this, I just saw it and loved the idea. smile emoticon [Also, *waves* I'm a long time OC group member, joined here to respond to this post & because it'd be great to get to know the larger neighborhood]

James Little from Graham Custom Services rewired my house. 216.392.9592. He is local, fridndly, reasonable and professional. They cleaned up every day despite the whole house being under construction. Put the plaster guy to shame and they made almost no mess to begin with. The box is really neat and tidy and they didn't over sell me on stuff we didn't need. They even pre-wired some lines we weren't ready to complete.

I have a locksmith for you, too. It's nearly impossible to ferret up anybody who isn't one of those big chains. First time I had locks changed it cost nearly $800 dollars because I was in an emergency. Second time I'd found this guy who was about $140 including extra keys. Hobby Key Works (216) 226-5835.
