Good morning. We are in the process of moving to the area. I am in need of names of speech therapists and occupational therapists. TIA
Shannon W. replied:
Speech Therapy &More (Denise Camp). My daughter saw an SLP there named Jessica and LOVED her
Ellen F. replied:
She is only doing early intervention now, but Denise also recommended Easter Seals for OT. We also went to Pediatric Rehab in the past, which is a part of HPRC.
Mills S. replied:
My daughter goes to speech therapy and more. Very happy with therapy. Our intervention focuses more on the motor aspect of speech, which we are very pleased with. I'm not 100% sure if it's still called speech therapy and more but we see Denise. The contact # is 706-329-0031
Lisa S. replied:
My son went to Speech Therapy and More. I was very happy with our ST, Chelsea, who has since moved. We are going to try ST with Interactive Metronome therapy at Columbus Speech and Hearing.
Lisa S. replied:
You might want to check out Human Performance Rehabilitation Centers (hprc.net) for speech and occupational therapy - I took my son to their Pediatric Rehabilitation Center -706-321-0930 - for an OT eval. There aren't many OTs in town.
Ellen F. replied:
We saw an OT named Patricia at Speech Therapy and More, but I'm not sure where she is now. I will try to find out. She was wonderful.

Does anyone know of a private speech therapist for a 3 year old? Maybe one that doesn't cost $500/month. Friend in need.
Ronda P. replied:
Speech therapy is usually covered under insurance. We go to The Therapy Place in Columbia. The phone number is 803-787-3033. They also have a host of resources available too. I'm sure they 'll take private pay too.
Bright Start is looking to hire a PRN/Full-time Speech Therapist for the Columbia area!
