Michelle Reece, our insurance is showing one of their doctors is "in-network" but the Marcus center is saying that none of their doctors accept our insurance. I just talked to my husband and I think we can easily get an appleal to get Dr. Rubin covered since there is not an in network developmental ped within 40 miles (i thought it was 75). He is going to call Monday to see what we need to do to get things going. Does anyone have their kid on medicaid or peachcare and see Dr. Rubin? We have considered getting him one or both since we qualify for both.

Our boys see Dr. Leslie Rubin. He and his staff are awesome, just make sure that you pack a lunch to take with you. When you go, you don't just see him. He has therapist that work with him, so you see alot of people on that first visit.

ABC Pediatrics in Stone Mountain. They suspected ASD when he was 18 months but because he loves being around people they took it off the table. But when we brought up ADHD they agreed and sent him for an evaluation but not happy with the psychologist we are seeing. I always feel rushed when we go in and she was very much pushing for us to "consider" meds for the ADHD and has not done a ton (that we know of) for the ASD other than state that she is sure he is on the spectrum. I am going to check now to see if Dr. Leslie is in network for us.

Developmental Ped is the best to screen for ASD. I love Dr Rubin. Also ask at Marcus about any research projects that your son might qualify for. The insurance issue is troubling since the new autism insurance reform bill (Ava's Law) went into effect July 15,
