Well, i study psychology and I would advise not to take recommendations just based on someone else's subjective experience because everyone has different things they would like to deal with. That is unless they are dealing with the same issues, perhaps. You need to find one that specializes in the area you would like to address... Eg. Depression, PTSD. Go to http://www.psychology.org.au/findapsychologist/ That resource is backed by the Australian Psychological Society.

Emma I run a Free Clinic in Peregian Beach every first Thursday of the month for people on low income. August is booked out but I still have places for the September Clinic. You can book in if you have a pensioner concession card.
