Honestly I don't think it will cost more then that. They didn't give you an estimate? My Chihuahua needed pins put in his knee 2 years ago for luxating patella everything all together was about $2,300 and that was at Oso clinic.

Maybe try Dr. Summers at Violet Vet Clinic, she did wonderful surgery on my kitty who had to have an amputation. She was great with mine and was very reasonable in cost when I couldn't afford anybody else.

My relatives live near Corpus and surrounding areas and they had trouble finding a gastrologist. Might was to come to Austin. It's about a 3 hour drive but worth it for a good doctor. San Antonio has a good selection also

oso creek is extremely expensive. You might want to call Local vets in the area and get some price quotes. Doddridge is affordable and Dr. Rasco is amazing! They may work with you on payments but I do know they accept CareCredit!
