Please research before you use fast brain with Dr. Poole. Ask to see what level he is billing for in the EOB. Make sure if he takes a kid into his office that the door is left open-(an examining room) per a judgement order from the medical board.

I highly suggest either Eli Ogburn or Meredith Hancock who both work at the same place at [1005 Broad st](http://www.1005 wellnesscenter.com/) in Durham. They are both LGBTQ-identified folks themselves, treat all manner of queer and/or trans people, and definitely have experience working with anxious clients.

Gupta Psychiatry is where I go and it's wonderful. I see Andrea who is great. It's on Creedmoor close to 540 so not I Durham but close

We've used Lapage Associates in the past, but it was more family focused. We did a bunch of research before settling on them, and they were highly recommended.

Try Carolina Outreach. Call and make an appointment for an assessment. I worked for them and also a lICensed therapist....they're a good company.

If Mary Grigsby still practices in Durham, she's my reccomendation.

Melissa Maxwell. Out of town for the next two weeks. She is very adaptable to your needs. For instance, she somehow picked up on the fact that I prefer concrete suggestions and coping skills as opposed to the touchy feely stuff.

Just remember, there is only one space between therapist and the rapist.

Andrea Shapiro, near Six Forks and Millbrook. My wife has been seeing her for several years and loves her. Her eating problems were fairly mild by the time I met her and are basically gone now, but apparently she was in a pretty bad place when she first started going. She credits her for a lot of the progress she's made.

Hey OP. With all sincerity, you’re amazing for reaching out and getting help. My sister has dealt with bulimia for the last 15 years. Last year she had a Mallory Weiss tear that had her in and out of the hospital for months. I highly recommend Dr. Metz at Mosaic comprehensive care. She’s a GP, but she has a strong background in, and specializes in eating disorders. Please consider starting your journey to recover with her. She’s connected to all kinds of highly recommend counselors, rehabilitation centers, and supportive networks. She can help get you on a comprehensive road to recovery. All the best. Adrienne at Awakenings center in Raleigh works with eating disorders. Very highly recommend, lots of experience from working in private eating disorder inpatient hospitals.

I've heard good things about Carolina House, I do believe it's intensive outpatient and residential treatment.

I'm actually a therapist and specialize in ED and trauma but I'm not taking new patients at the moment. I would highly recommend Leah Berry at CAS Counseling. 919-602-6766. Also, if a medical workup is needed, the doctors at Mosaic Comprehensive Care in Chapel Hill specialize in EDs. They are primary care docs and are wonderful.

We work with Emily Nobles at AHB in Durham, and John Mclain who is independent and near Chapel Hill. Both have been wonderful.
