Switched from All Creatures to Dr. Dan. Highly recommend Dr. Dan if you want your vet to tell it like it is and not order a bunch of unnecessary tests, his prices are better too.

What kind of animals are you caring for? At the time I used All Creatures I needed treatment for a dog and they were great, but didn't treat large livestock (cattle and horses). Dr Dan moved in since then. Because he cares for both large and small animals we started going to him. He does a great job at reasonable prices and can be reached in an emergency.

I usually use All Creatures, but when looking for someone closer to determine the sex of my bunnies, Gem Vet checked them for free, and they were very nice. Even scheduled me to come back, since the bunnies were too small to be sure:) Waterwheel wanted and office fee. However, Dr. Dan at Waterwheel euthanized a dove that the boys found in the yard, so that it wouldn't suffer. He did that free of charge. We have several options, I would suggest you visit each place and talk to the staff, then make your own informed decisions:) What's good for the goose, isn't necessarily good for the gander! Well looks like you pretty much have several to choose from. I personally have used all three. Out of all 3, Dr.Dan is my 1 st choice with All Creatures next.....Gem Vet, not so much based on my experience with them. Oh and All creatures does have a vet who works with larger animals, who will make ranch calls but doesn't work with them at their clinic.
