We are new to Erie ( just moved here last weekend ) from Baltimore, Maryland. Are there any MOPS groups local?
Also, we'd love a sushi restaurant recommendation
Katie R. replied:
Hi Dana - welcome to Colorado! I am part of an amazing MOPS/MOMSnext group that meets every other Monday evening from 6:30-8:30 at Immaculate Conception in Lafayette. We would love to have you come visit - our next meeting is Monday, October 10! Lot's of great mommas from around the area! https://immaculateconceptionchurchmops.com/meetings/

I wish wish WISH Erie had a good sushi place! Maybe in the new shopping center. I've lived in CO for 13 years (only 7 weeks in Erie, so I'm new here, too!). Best places we've found: Taigun (Broomfield, by Flatirons Mall) Hana (Louisville) Sushi ZanMai (Boulder) Hapa (Boulder) Sumo (at Orchard Shopping Center, probably the closest).
Mary G. replied:
There are also MOPS groups at First Presbyterian in Boulder and at Ascent Community church in Louisville. I know leaders at both and am happy to put you in touch if you are interested.

Sushi Sachi in Niwot Market is fantastic!!! The business is family run by a family from Osaka, Japan. They have authentic ramen dishes (only on Sunday), and noodle dishes available all week in addition to their yummy sushi. Sakura Sushi in Erie is also good but more Americanized.
Where's your favorite place to go for breakfast? Preferably family friendly. We frequent super mini walnut cafe, morning glory, snooze and the buff. We've also tried...

Spice China is louisville or China Gourmet in Longmont. Both "nice" sit down Chinese with traditional and American faves. Ordering at China Gourmet is a little odd. You do order at the counter, but the rest is a sit down experience. Panang Thai in Lafayette, May Wah in Boulder, Pearl Wok in broomfield are also solid choices.

The one in table Mesa in Boulder is really good. Tandoori grill. Tried Taj Mahal last week (looking for something closer- and its was blah ! Will have to try some of these others.
Tiffers S. replied:
Shout out for Mt Everest Cuisine on Baseline in Boulder. They are somewhat new, within the last year, and are literally the best tasting Indian we've EVER had. Found them randomly on Yelp, decided to try it. There are literally about 10 reviews from other folks saying the same thing. Totally worth the drive. Much better than the place in Louisville, our old spot.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a restaurant in Glenwood Springs or Basalt that would be good for a big, casual, group dinner (i.e. a team dinner)? Thanks in advance!
After writing off beer, I just discovered I like stout! So where is a good restaurant to go for sampling a variety?
John K. replied:
Second Industrial Revolution -- and try the Vanilla Porter as well!
David L. replied:
You need to mark the month of February on your calendar. February is Stout month at Mountain Sun(Boulder), Southern Sun(Boulder), Longs Peak (Longmont), and Vine St Brewing (Denver)... all the same owners. They have TONS of stouts that month and rotate taps daily.
Dustin L. replied:
Avery Brewing
Mike U. replied:
It's a ways off, but Mountain Sun in Boulder features a TON of stouts every February, all month. Here is a sample from a previous year: http://www.mountainsunpub.com/Stout%20Month%20Placemat.pdf There's also Backcountry Pizza in Boulder, they have a bunch of different beers on tap.
Marty H. replied:
Liquid Mechanics 287 and Baseline has some interesting beers!
David B. replied:
I concur with the earlier recommendation of the Mountain Sun. Even when it's not stout month, they have a great selection of stouts and porters. One of which is often on the nitro tap. They have two locations in Boulder (Mountain and Southern) as well as the Longs Peak Pub in Longmont and the Vine St in Denver. My two favourite bottled stouts are Out of Bounds from Avery and Left Hand Milk Stout. The Shake Porter from Boulder Brewing is good, but a bit too sweet for my tastes. Locally, I have had the vanilla porter at Industrial Revolution which I enjoyed. Also, the Coal Miner's Cuzzin at Odd13 in Lafayette as well as the coffee one (Buzzin Cuzzin) are quite good. Front Range Brewing has the Highlander Imperial Milk Stout, which is good, but very high in alcohol. I prefer the 5% or lower ones myself.
David B. replied:
Also, if you are feeling adventurous, the Peanut Butter Porter at Liquid Mechanics is interesting.
Looking for Sushi restaurant recommendations? Thank you!

Autumn W. replied:
If you're looking for sushi to go Sakura has great sushi for a very reasonable price. Just little to no sit down room or atmosphere. Sushi Leo in Longmont is my favorite sit down!
Heading to Fort Collins to take a tour of CSU. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant for lunch? Nothing fancy, just maybe good burgers and sandwiches?
