Dr. Hunt is a back cracker. Dr. mcconaughey is good. He uses the activator Method.

The activator method is this little tool that basically taps on the spot where he wants to adjust you. Small and painless. Its interesting how it just works. But I like to hear the pop and crack when I have my back adjusted. John Estrin is a great person. I have never been adjusted by him so I can't speak to his technique.
