FREE ACCOMMODATION in EDMONTON We are pleased to offer free accommodations and use of Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch to anyone displaced by the wildfires around Fort McMurray. The 214 acre Ranch is a charitable nondenominational camp and ranch that typically serves physically and financially challenged children. The Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch is substantially funded by the Walton Group of Companies, and this offer is brought to you also by Dennis Doherty, a Director of the OLQP Foundation, and a major landowner in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, including Prairie Creek Business Park and Saprae Creek Estates. The facility has: - 30 fully outfitted tepees, which sleep 12 people each, are available on a first-come first serve basis. - The Ranch can also can accommodate hundreds of RVs to park. There are washrooms, showers, and recreational facilities available on site as well. New clothing and supplies are also available for distribution. - ID required. Evacuees from Fort McMurray, Anzac, Gregoire Lake Estates or Fort McMurray First Nations. - If there is significant demand, Our Lady Queen of Peace operates another ranch just outside Calgary, which could be opened up to evacuees under similar conditions.
