Since when does a baby become an it Jamie? Did you really need to say HE would die. She's doing good by him. She's getting advice on pediatrician's in her area so she can do the right thing & get HIM to the Dr asap. Now, as a mom I can say she's got some great advice but I'd still a Dr's opinion too just to be on the safe side. But until you get HIM to the dr... keep it clean, dry, I would use a small dab of rubbing alcohol once or twice a day & blow on it because it may burn a little but the alcohol will help it to dry up & stay as germ free as possible. I love my children's pediatrician which is Gastonia Children's Clinic Dr. Karen Cloninger, Dr. Cox, Dr. DePalma. All the pediatrician's here are so nice & act like they really care about your child. I hope this helps & you find a closer pediatrician for your little guy.

If you're still worried about it there's a number ASK FIRST at 704-403-1275 or 800-575-1275. It puts you on the phone with a nurse and they can tell you for sure whether to take him to the ER or wait for a Dr visit, Also they have newborn diapers I believe they're pampers? where a notch is cut out just for that so the diaper doesn't rub it. I used them with my son. Good luck

Gastonia Pediatric Associates take Medicaid sweetie, My first child was on Medicaid 12 years ago and they took it then but I still see people using it when I take my two month old now. I have also heard them over the phone while in the office state that they accept it.

see if Gastoina Pedatrics will take him normally they want them as new born but maybe they will take at 2 weeks my daughter gose there but she went her first time when she was 4 days old

I love Dr. Mijumbi at Carolina Pediatrics Center. I've taken my daughters there since they were born and they're almost 6. My stepchildren have been going there for a year and a half. And my son's been going there since birth. He's 10 months old. She'll be my new daughter's pediatrician as well. I'd recommend her to anyone. 704-864-0303

I'm not happy at all with Carolina Pediatrics Center. I had 4 kids going there & have more problems in 4 yrs for 3 of them than anyone should! Only 2 of mine are still patients there but I'm changing them too asap. I've had 2 horrible shot incidents there w/2 kids, a lost file for my youngest daughter saying she'd never been seen there!, & problems w/Dr.Mijumbi not signing off for my special needs son's therapy even if he'd been seen there just the wk. before! If you take your son there I wish you the best of luck but after our oldest hit the ground twice in their parking lot after getting 1 shot last April. A nurse walked by from her car & couldn't have cared less. She told them she didn't feel right & that right away her stomach was hurting right afterwards. They dismissed her like she was full of it & sent us out the door! I had just had my baby a wk before by c-section & wasn't supposed to be driving yet but I wanted to go & jerk the 1 st nurse who ignored her to the ground. The 2 nd I gave many choice words to out in the parking lot. But I don't feel safe with their hands on my kids for any medical treatment anymore. There's much more that I've seen the little we've been there (my kids are all pretty healthy except for my special needs son needing to be seen more often) I hope you find great care for him

Dr. Fisher IS THE BEST PED DOC He is the oldest practicing ped doc in this are and hands down THE BEST. I am 31 y/o and he was my ped doc.....always fixed me right up and was very courteous also I loved him! I was attached to him lol I cried the day they told me I was considered an adult now and I would have to find another doc that he couldn't treat me anymore...I was devastated! I really believe in him and the way he treats he patients!

well the bleeding stopped yesterday or early this mornin I think. So i didnt worry about the dr for that but I am.gettin.him switched to.Gaston Pediatrics. They are the only ones excepting medicaid atm.

Caramont Pediatric partners isn't accepting any new Medicaid patients unfortunately unless they have another primary insurance. You also have to contact Medicaid before you can switch drs bc they print the dr on the card & you can only see that dr at least that's what we were told.

I think thats the same office 2 of my kids go to. My 2 youngest go to Dallas Family Medicine. Asap im looking to change my older ones drs office.

Crystal, my kids used to go to the Health Dept but then I decided to switch them since there's such a bad image of taking your kids to the health dept. I switched them to Gaston Pediatrics for a couple of years but just recently switched them BACK to the Health Dept bc I was very unhappy with the overall experience with Gaston Pediatrics. Dr. Mijumbi is great, really sweet but sometimes I felt like she just blew off my concerns & questions about my kids. Every time I go there the wait is horrible bc they schedule way too many people all at the same time. The staff is just very nonchalant, like they don't really care that much. One time when I went there the floor in the exam room they put us in was so dirty that I actually asked them for a broom so that I could at least sweep so my 10 month old didn't have to play/walk around on a dirty floor or end up choking on one of the little pieces of debri. I'm not sure why you don't want to go to the Health Dept but I would recommend them all day long before I would ever recommend going to Gaston Pediatrics...its your decision of course, but I just wanted to tell you what my experiences have been so that you & your baby don't end up being very disappointed & miserable going to Gaston Peds...I wish you all the best of luck & I hope your baby is doing better.

William Hayes 704-864-5437 He is AMAZING!!! I wouldn't trust my daughter in anyone else's hands. He's the only doctor at the practice. They also have a 24 hour hot line for emergency situations. I have very bad anxiety and they always me feel comfortab le and that my child gets the best care and treatment there is. I'm sure there's other great pediatricians out there I'm just speaking from personal experience. Good luck on your hunt.

Caromont Pediatric Partners in Belmont is where my kids have been for over 19 years. We love them and they are open 8-8 M-F and see patients in the Gastonia office 8-4 on Saturday and Sunday so you don't have too many urgent care or hospital visits for things.

Three years after we took our kids OUT of that practice we were still receiving bills from this practice for things they "forgot" to bill us for, WAY outside of the time the insurance would have paid! Hey girl! We go to piedmont adult and pediatrics beside gaston hospital. I absolutely loveeeee Dr. Hoffman. She is beyond amazing. Dr. Elrod is also great but Hoffman is her primary doc and I swear she's the best I've seen. And she's real with you and answers any questions you have and doesn't rush. She takes her time which I love love love. She makes you feel like family and always remembers who you are. You and your kid aren't just a number to her.

Dr Olivia Mijumbi in Gastonia is amassing with my daughter been taking her since her first week and she's 10 months old she absolutely loved Dr mijumbi .

Are you looking for more natural? I would recommend Dr. Cammy Benton. She is in Hickory right now but is moving in to Denver at the end of the year. We love her. She is a family practitioner.
