Monique Lalonde... she's super nice. Dr. "MoMo" the kids call her... but she hates when kids freak out, and she think's Caitlynn is "too high risk" for her to work with.

Not today, but the last time I was there, Caitlynn was getting work done - freaking out - and the nurses all came in and tried holding her down. When I told them I didn't want them to hold her down to get the work done because they could break her putting pressure on her arms and legs - Dr. Lalonde kicked me out of the room!!! WTF? I've never been kicked out of an appointment with Caitlynn... not cool.

Dr. Quinns office but Dr. Maude couillard st-pierre is Xaviers Dentise She is faboulouse with him and Cheo and les petit copin are the ones that refered us to them when Renee was almost 2 and her teeth started growing in with issues. And she imidiatly took Xavier.

Don't get me wrong - Dr. Lalonde is quite good, and she's super nice and funny with the kids... she just doesn't want to work with us with Caitlynn. That's a bummer... especially since her office is like 3 blocks from my house... LOL

The Wakefield dental centre (and I think any dentist) fills cavities for free for anyone under the age of 18. The only thing is that you can't get the white composite filling - it has to be the silver kind. As long as she has a RAMQ health card, she's covered for fillings (and cleanings, I think). I really like the staff at Wakefield dental.

Algonquin College takes patients at a very reduced rate, but it is usually a long wait. It could be worth calling just to see.

Unfortunately cleaning for kids isn't free in Quebec: Wakefield dental charges $90. We moved here not that long ago and to get a health card you have to call RAMQ for the application form and they will advise you about what ID you need etc. PM me Holly if you'd like more info on the process smile emoticon
