Welcome to Gillingham! There are 2 drs in the town - Peacemarsh Surgery and the Barn. Dentists - Winning Smiles (very good, next to Peacemarsh drs), and ADT at the other end of town which takes NHS patients. Vets - Shreen vets really good. Also Southill vets at the other end of the town by Orchard Park Garden Centre. Carpenters - Ian Wright (on FB). Builders - Camelot, Shean and Hare (shaftesbury), Burfitt and Garrett (Shaftesbury), Andrew Smith (Gillingham). Hope that helps a bit!

They know nearly everything and if they don't know they will find out for you. They are one of the jewels in Gillingham's crown!

Hi Samara, welcome to Gillingham! Blackmore Vale Vets in Sturminster Newton are very good. I can put you in touch with people re: Gundog training, and also local shoots. I am also part of North Doset Ringcraft if you were interested, though it's just training for the show ring. Quite a few of our members also work their dogs, so would be a good way to get to meet local doggie people! We train at Cucklington Village Hall every Thursday from 7pm, and are a friendly bunch! And just incase you need a hairdresser, I own Utopia Hairdressing in Broad Robin, Gillingham!!

There is normally an emergency dental number you can ring in Ferndown. They normally send you to the emergency dentist at Dorchester hospital.

I can highly recommend Winning Smiles in Gillingham. It's only NHS for children as it's a private Dentist. My 11 yr old Daughter is extremely phobic & they have been great with her. She had 2 teeth extracted there a couple of weeks ago ready for Braces & they were so patient & took there time. Hope that helps

Agree Dr Florin Cret is my Dentist he's amazing makes you feel so at Ease I've also experienced problems with another Dentist in the past and put the wind up me when we had to change dentists but I can honestly say Dr Cret is wonderful very very gently.

Dr Florin Cret at My Dentist in Gillingham is incredible, I used to sit there terrified shaking with tears rolling down my face but not anymore! He's very gentle, explains everything and will stop the second you raise yr hand. Highly recommend him for anxious patients.
