I see Sarah Tiesing at Avance Care in Cary and she has been fantastic so far. My mom sees Susan Catchings also at the Avance Care in Cary and she adores her. Both are great choices who really listen to you as a patient!

Yes, I get that when I skip my meds for some crazy reason. Actually, I get a milder sensation even when I'm good about taking my meds ... more of a pin prick than an electric jolt. At its worst, it feels like a nerve conduction test. At its mildest, it feels like a needle but deep inside. I believe it is a neurological problem so the best specialist would be a neurologist. You will probably need a referral, so start with your primary care doctor and go from there. In fact, spent more time looking for my primary care provider than on any specialist I have ever seen. Primary care can help you coordinate your care and watch for conflicting therapies. When there is a problem, your primary care can help you get things sorted out and be your advocate.
