Kelly A. replied:
Fancy nails nickles and dimes you to death! I do strickly mani/pedi which seems to be a foreign concept these days. Every place I've been tries to talk me into gel, powder, acrylic. I will do the occasional design but if i come in and ask for something that is what I want
Alma M. replied:
So I don't go to an Irving location, but it's closer than Denton! Onyx Nail Bar, it's off of Oaklawn and Cedar Springs.
Ashleigh M. replied:
Fancy nails off shady grove. Or there's a nail salon next to chin hair design on beltline ( I prefer them for any acrylic "French tip" and toes.)
Melanee S. replied:
Lee Nails on Shady Grove Rd or Pro Nails Plus on north Belt Line and Northgate. Amy at Lee's or Lea or Lean at Pro nails Plus.

I've been going to City Nails for over 15 years. In the Kroger shopping center at 635/MacArthur on Kinwest.
Would like to know of a good nail salon that does good designs but is not crazy busy like Fancy Nails. Prefer south of 114 if possible. (Do not like Fancy Nails, way too...
Julie F. replied:
The girl I go to is better than fancy nails. Better artwork, the nails last longer...and her prices are great. A fill is only $10. She charges $5 a nail for artwork. And she can literally do anything. She's not in Irving though. She's off of 20 and camp wisdom in south Dallas. Takes me about 15 min to get to her. http://instagram.com/nails_by_maryberry
Martha M. replied:
Try Star Nails on Beltline & Pioneer
Janna O. replied:
Also I used to like Fancy Nails till I went to get gel nails and they had me soak my hands in acetone to remove the existing gel, which is a big NO NO in my book.

Nails Tex on Story and 183 (South side, across from Crockett in GTE Plaza) has a deluxe pedicure for $30 (including paraffin, hot towels and water/drink).:)
Kristi W. replied:
Thanks for the suggestions! I went to Nails Tex because it was convenient. Well, apparently Tues AM is Senior Citizen Hour ;-) So I waited forever and then had to rush them to finish before I had to leave for a mtg. When I left at 11:40 the place was empty, so I guess it was just bad timing. But my toes look good:)
Kristi W. replied:
I'll try Pro Nail next time...maybe I'll actually plan ahead and schedule am appt:)
