I would suggest looking at the Young Star Program website for a list of licensed providers in WI. It will give you a pretty good idea as to how a facility is doing. I would say that the star part is really not all that important for the rating program, however the website will give you a list of violations that a facility has had and what they had to do to correct the problem. Also, keep in mind that facilities do receive violations for some pretty ridiculous things. Ex: having an item, like a grocery bag, within reach of a child. http://dcf.wisconsin.gov/youngstar/
